How Collaborations That Enable Greater University Participation Have Greater Impact
December 15, 2022

Collaborations that enable greater university participation can have a significant impact on the education and training opportunities available to students. By bringing together the expertise and resources of different organizations, such collaborations can help to create more comprehensive and effective learning experiences that address the current needs and challenges facing the education and training sectors.

One such collaboration is the collaboration between Amesite and NAFEO. Amesite is a leading artificial intelligence software company that offers a cloud-based learning platform for business and education markets. NAFEO is a national association that represents the interests of historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) in the United States.

Through their collaboration, Amesite and NAFEO are working to help address the talent shortages and diversity challenges facing the semiconductor industry. The Creating Helpful Incentives to Produce Semiconductors (CHIPS) for America Act is set to transform the U.S. semiconductor industry by offering a range of supportive funding mechanisms. Amesite and NAFEO are well-positioned to take advantage of these opportunities and provide learning opportunities to a large cohort of diverse learners.

NAFEO CEO and Attorney Lezli Baskerville commented, "NAFEO’s collaboration with Amesite will enable a large cohort of diverse persons to attain credentials in growth and high need disciplines, and equally as important, according to the Business Roundtable, new and/or different skills. The persons participating in the NAFEO Amesite collaboration will also have imbued in them the work ethic and cultural mores that are the cornerstones of an HBCU education, including a strong sense of their limitless potential, even in the most competitive industries, like the semiconductor industry."

Amesite Founder and CEO, Dr. Ann Marie Sastry, added, "We are confident that we will be able to provide learning opportunities through the various funding sources that are becoming available, and excited to begin. Amesite and NAFEO have the ability to launch sophisticated technological programs in as little as 24 hours around the globe, and are targeting funding for HBCUs and PBIs, to improve the diversity of the semiconductor workforce."

Overall, the Amesite and NAFEO collaboration is a great example of how organizations are coming together to work to meet the current needs of the education and training sector. By leveraging their proven SaaS collaboration, Amesite and NAFEO believe they are well-positioned to provide meaningful and impactful learning opportunities to a diverse range of learners.
